Pixel action roguelike game

Bio Prototype is a premium action game developed by Emprom Game for PC. It's a top-down roguelike adventure title wherein players will control a character that has awoken and mysteriously turned into a monster. They will need to evolve and adapt to various enemies and situations to survive.

Similar to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth or Exit the Gungeon, Bio Prototype features charming pixel graphics with plenty of colorful effects and smooth animations. It also employs a unique mutation system that allows players to create all kinds of unique combinations and play styles to suit their preferences.

Bio-mutation

Bio Prototype starts off vague and cryptic, with you waking up and finding yourself turned into a monster for no explicable reason. Confused and lost for answers, you won't have much time to stop and think as a wave of experimental abominations is rushing toward you. You must now find a way to defend yourself and find out why you turned out the way you did.

To survive against your gruesome enemies in this game, you'll get mutations by consuming flesh and blood, and turn into one of 24 characters, each with its own unique skill sets and characteristics. Your attacks can range from basic projectiles to some that will have enemies explode upon impact, or even those that produce wicked offspring to fight for you—things can get pretty bizarre quickly.

What's more, you can collect over 80 kinds of organs to augment your abilities even further for virtually limitless combinations to see which works best for you. With all that being said, though, there are some things that the game could work on more, such as the convoluted menu system, and that lack of proper descriptions for some of the items in-game.

Be the better monster

Bio Prototype is another addition to the long selection of action roguelikes available today, and it's a pretty interesting one, if not, a bit bizarre. There are plenty of characters to choose from and the number of items that you can use to augment your playstyle adds to the appeal and replayability of the game. Check it out and see for yourself.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
